Of the 667 people living in Big Stone in 2019, 44.7 percent (298) were women and 55.3 percent (369) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Northeast South Dakota News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 221-to-149. In the 65 and over age range, there were 121 females and 104 males.
