Census Bureau reports South Shore population was 256 in 2020

South Shore had a population of 256 people in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Northeast South Dakota News.

The median age was 50, with 44.1 percent of the total population being female and 55.9 percent male.

The state's total population in 2020 was 879,336.
