PRESS RELEASE: Road Construction & Storm Sewer Installation to Begin on 7th Ave. at Remington Circle
The City of Brookings Department of Public Works will begin road reconstruction and storm sewer installation at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Remington Circle as part of the 7th Avenue and 15th Street South Project starting July 5, 2022. The work will include: removal of the existing asphalt surface and turning it into gravel, replacement of ramps, storm sewer installation, and new asphalt surface. The project will last approximately four weeks. Traffic access will be limited during this time.
The City says, “We would like to remind the public to be cautious when driving or walking near the project area, especially around work areas under construction. We understand there will be short-term inconveniences throughout the project and we appreciate working together with you on any issues. Issues related to construction items can be directed to the City Engineering Office at 605-692-6629. Thank you for your patience during this project.“
