Attention Please: The City of Brookings will be hosting an open house on Wednesday, August 10, from 5:00 - 6:00 PM to provide information to the public on the detour route proposed to be utilized for the upcoming closure of the intersection of 20th St S. and 22nd Ave. The closure is being necessitated by construction work in the intersection associated with the Brookings Municipal Utilities water distribution and South Dakota DOT Interchange projects. This informational open house will be held in Room 300 of the Brookings City and County Government Building at 520 3rd Street and will provide the public an opportunity to see the vehicle and pedestrian detour routes and ask any questions of how they may need to adjust their daily routes to bypass the construction.
