Each residence of the City of Watertown is entitled to 2 free tons of compost annually with a Municipal Utility bill.  Please bring your residential Watertown Municipal Utility bill when requesting free compost at the Watertown Regional Landfill. Without a utility bill at the time free compost is requested, the $20.00 per ton charge applies.

Compost is available to all customers at $20.00 per ton. Residents who have received their 2 free ton annual limit may purchase additional compost at $20.00 per ton.

The Watertown Landfill has a large supply of compost.  The compost has been screened for debris and makes a great soil conditioner.

General information regarding the Landfill including location, hours of operation, container repair, and rates is located on the City’s website at www.watertownsd.us

Thank you,
