3% of Brown County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Brown County recorded an unemployment rate of 3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 643 people out of the 38,471 living in Brown County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Brown County has increased compared to the 2.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Brown County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.2%.

Of the 21,013 people who had a job during that time, 31 were employed in the Armed Forces and 20,982 belonged to the civilian labor force.
