Rep. Dusty Johnson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing South Dakota’s at-large district, shared his involvement and concerns through a series of tweets. His social media activity provides insights into recent events and issues pertinent to his constituents.

On May 4, 2025, Rep. Johnson announced that "The City of Presidents unveiled their newest statue — President Trump." He expressed gratitude for being invited to participate in the event.

On May 5, 2025, he addressed staffing challenges within the National Weather Service in South Dakota. He emphasized that "staffing shortages...could leave our state in the dark about severe weather events." Rep. Johnson reached out to NOAA to express his concerns and urged the Administration to maintain these essential positions.

Later that day, Rep. Johnson highlighted an alarming statistic regarding missing persons in South Dakota. He noted that "nearly 60% of all missing persons in South Dakota are Native American." In recognition of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Day, he advocated for increased tribal law enforcement resources to address this issue.
