Rep. Dusty Johnson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Dakota's at-large district since 2019, shared updates on social media regarding recent meetings and legislative efforts. Johnson, who replaced Kristi Noem in Congress, posted about interactions with law enforcement families and legislative developments.

On May 15, 2025, Johnson tweeted about meeting with Lake County Deputy Sheriff Micah Hofman and his family. He highlighted the legacy of Braxton Hofman, Micah's nephew and close friend, who died in 2022 from COVID-19 while serving as a Correctional Officer with the Lake County Sheriff's Office. "Braxton Hofman was also being honored this week."

Later that day, Johnson expressed gratitude for the efforts of @HouseAgGOP on a significant legislative package aimed at improving national fiscal health and supporting producers. He described it as "one big beautiful bill" designed to redirect national spending.

In another post dated May 15, 2025, Johnson reflected on meeting the family and friends of Moody County Chief Deputy Sheriff Ken Prorok during their visit to Washington D.C. Prorok was killed in the line of duty last year and was among those honored during National Police Week. "Prorok’s name was added to" a memorial honoring fallen officers.

Dusty Johnson was born in Pierre, South Dakota in 1976 and currently resides in Mitchell. He graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
