Rep. Dusty Johnson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Dakota’s at-large district since 2019, recently shared several updates via social media regarding financial legislation aimed at supporting American families. The posts highlight key aspects of the proposed measures.

On May 20, 2025, Rep. Johnson announced that the Child Tax Credit would be doubled to $2,500 to provide additional support for families. "It doubles the Child Tax Credit to $2,500, supporting families."

In another post on the same day, he detailed how Americans earning between $30,000 and $80,000 per year could benefit from an average savings of $5,000 due to a 15% reduction in their tax bill.
