Rep. Dusty Johnson, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing South Dakota’s at-large district since 2019, recently shared his views on various topics through a series of tweets. Born in Pierre, South Dakota, Johnson graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1999 and currently resides in Mitchell.

On June 16, 2025, Rep. Dusty Johnson expressed his opinion regarding gender-specific sports competitions and military policies. He stated "This is not a new concept – biological males and females should compete on separate playing fields." He further emphasized that military service academies should prioritize military readiness over what he described as "woke policies."

In another tweet dated June 17, 2025, Johnson praised the Trump Administration's efforts to enhance border security. He remarked "This is incredible. The Trump Administration took swift and decisive action to secure our borders." He advocated for congressional action to pass what he called the "One Big Beautiful Bill" to ensure long-term border security.

On June 19, 2025, Rep. Johnson highlighted Dakota State University's role in cybersecurity advancements with its participation in expanding the Google Cybersecurity Clinic initiative. He noted "Dakota State University is a national leader in cybersecurity." This expansion includes DSU joining other institutions nationwide to bolster local defenses against cyber threats from entities such as China.
