Rep. Dusty Johnson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing South Dakota’s at-large district, has been active on social media discussing legislative developments and national celebrations. His recent posts highlight ongoing efforts to advance significant legislation and commemorate Independence Day.

On July 3, 2025, Rep. Johnson shared progress regarding a legislative initiative known as the One Big Beautiful Bill. He stated that "President Trump and Speaker Johnson are making progress on getting the One Big Beautiful Bill to the President’s desk." The bill aims to address issues such as border security, government spending reduction, and regulatory rollback.

Later that day, Johnson addressed economic concerns stemming from inflation over the past four years. He emphasized that "families and businesses are desperate for tax relief" and expressed confidence in the bill's potential to extend current tax rates beneficially for South Dakota businesses.

On July 4, 2025, Rep. Johnson marked Independence Day with a message of gratitude towards those who have fought for American freedoms. He expressed his sentiments by stating "Happy Independence Day! Today and everyday we celebrate the greatest nation on Earth."

Born in Pierre, South Dakota in 1976, Dusty Johnson graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1999 with a BA degree. Since replacing Kristi Noem in Congress in 2019, he has resided in Mitchell while serving his constituents.
