Rep. Dusty Johnson, U.S. Congressman representing South Dakota’s at-large district since 2019, shared updates on his recent activities in a series of posts on August 19 and 20, 2025.
On August 19, Johnson attended a key industry event in Deadwood. He wrote, "I joined the South Dakota Telecommunication annual meeting in Deadwood to discuss the importance of rural broadband access. The group had great questions about the rural economy, energy development, trade, and the Farm Bill."
The following day, Johnson recognized military service members in Rapid City. On August 20 he posted, "It was an honor to thank and recognize 41 Vietnam-era veterans in Rapid City for their service. Their dedication to our country deserves the recognition many did not receive when they returned home."
In another post from August 20 regarding family milestones and education, Johnson stated, "Max moved back to SDSU yesterday, and Ben and Owen start school today. Good luck to all students!"
Johnson has represented South Dakota’s at-large congressional district since replacing Kristi Noem in 2019. Born in Pierre in 1976 and currently residing in Mitchell, Johnson graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in 1999.
