Rep. Dusty Johnson, who represents South Dakota’s at-large district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted his activities at the State Fair and agricultural initiatives through a series of posts on his social media account.
On August 29, 2025, Johnson shared details about his engagement with local producers: "I enjoyed catching up with South Dakota Pork Producers at the State Fair and talking about some of my work in Congress to support ag producers." That same evening, he attended a community event honoring veterans, posting "Night two of the Bull Bash at the State Fair did not disappoint. A great event to honor more veterans and see some impressive bull riding."
The following day, Johnson welcomed an official from the Environmental Protection Agency: "It was great to welcome @EPA Administrator @epaleezeldin to South Dakota! We checked out the cutting edge work that SDSU’s Raven Precision Agriculture Center is doing that is positively contributing to the industry."
Johnson has served as South Dakota’s sole representative in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Kristi Noem. Born in Pierre in 1976 and currently residing in Mitchell, Johnson earned his BA from the University of South Dakota in 1999.
