Rep. Dusty Johnson, who represents South Dakota’s at-large district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent activities and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.

On September 12, 2025, Johnson posted about his experience working with students and faculty: "I had an incredible time substitute teaching at Lincoln High School today. I learned a lot from the students and faculty."

A few days later, on September 15, 2025, he highlighted efforts to support employment opportunities for people with disabilities and veterans in South Dakota: "Black Hills Works provides employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and veterans on AbilityOne federal contracts in South Dakota. I got to meet with Mark to hear how AbilityOne has provided him the opportunity for mission-driven employment at Ellsworth Air Force".

Later that same day, Johnson recognized the contributions of truck drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week: "It’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. Truck drivers are the backbone of our economy, keeping food, products and fuel moving across the country. South Dakota employs more than 30,000 people in the trucking industry.

Thank a truck driver today!"

Johnson has represented South Dakota’s at-large congressional district since 2019 after succeeding Kristi Noem. Born in Pierre in 1976 and currently residing in Mitchell, Johnson graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1999.
