The Brookings Regional Landfill is encouraging Hamlin, Deuel, Kingsbury, Lake, Brookings, and Moody County residents to dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste (HHW) in a safe and environmentally responsible way at its Household Hazardous Waste event on Saturday, August 27th at the Swiftel Center south parking lot, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Recently the City commissioned the Center for Public Safety Management, LLC. (CPSM), a subsidiary of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) to conduct a study and review operations at the Brookings Police Department.
ROAD CLOSED & WATER OFF: Weather permitting beginning at approximately 7:00 AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, the following road will be closed to thru traffic and water will be off in the following areas to repair a water main line:
